Summa Defence’s delivery of Zeus FPV drones to Ukraine underscores the rapid evolution of European drone manufacturing driven by operational feedback from active conflict zones. Achieving industrial readiness in 2025, the Zeus program was shaped through cooperation with Ukrainian partners to ensure battlefield relevance and resilience. The drones are produced and validated in Finland and are positioned as flexible, mission-tailored systems rather than single-purpose assets. Offered in three sizes, the Zeus series enables users to select platforms based on payload demands, endurance, and operational range. A defining feature is the option to operate via fiber-optic guidance, which significantly reduces vulnerability to electronic warfare, or via conventional radio links for long-range missions. The 11-inch and 13-inch variants support payloads ranging from 3 to 5 kilograms, enabling tactical strike or specialized payload roles, while the smallest Zeus microdrone focuses on rapid reconnaissance in confined environments. With cruise speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour in some configurations, the Zeus family demonstrates how compact FPV drones are becoming integral to modern combat operations, intelligence gathering, and precision engagement missions.
