The Royal Australian Air Force has finished Exercise Carlsbad at Base Tindal, Northern Territory, testing the MQ-28A Ghost Bat in a new environment outside South Australia. The exercise focused on deployment logistics, system checks, and mission readiness. The MQ-28A was moved to Tindal using a C-17 Globemaster aircraft. This exercise is part of several planned trials this year to evaluate the Ghost Bat’s capabilities. The MQ-28A is an uncrewed aircraft that works alongside crewed platforms and enhances airborne mission effectiveness. Exercise Carlsbad Commander Wing Commander Phillip Parsons emphasized that the MQ-28A is vital for protecting Australian lives and national interests and praised the partnership between the Royal Australian Air Force and Boeing Defence Australia.
