Ashok Leyland is advancing the modernization of India’s military logistics fleet by developing autonomous and hydrogen-powered versions of its proven Stallion tactical vehicle. Working alongside Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, the company aims to introduce hydrogen propulsion technology capable of reducing dependence on conventional fuels while supporting cleaner and more sustainable defence operations. Combined with Ashok Leyland’s expertise in electric, CNG, and LNG-powered platforms, the initiative reflects a broader transformation toward intelligent military mobility. The future-ready platforms are expected to improve operational flexibility, reduce logistical challenges, and support diverse missions across deserts, mountains, and border regions while reinforcing India’s indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities.
