South Korea has unveiled the KAAV II, a next-generation amphibious assault vehicle developed by Hanwha Aerospace to replace the aging KAAV-7A1 fleet. Designed for modern expeditionary and coastal warfare operations, the vehicle combines improved sea mobility, enhanced crew protection, and upgraded battlefield awareness systems. Armed with a 40mm automatic cannon capable of engaging drones, armored vehicles, and fortified positions, the KAAV II significantly expands offensive capability compared to earlier platforms. The vehicle also incorporates advanced command-and-control systems and a powerful propulsion setup optimized for both maritime and land operations.
