The British Army has reached a major milestone with the delivery of its 100th UK-manufactured Boxer 8×8 armored vehicle, supporting one of the country’s largest land modernization programs. Produced through collaboration between Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land, KNDS UK, ARTEC, and OCCAR, the Boxer fleet forms part of a broader £5-billion investment that also includes Challenger 3 main battle tanks. The modular vehicle is designed to transport infantry, mission equipment, and specialized payloads across demanding operational environments while providing excellent protection and mobility. With high-speed road performance, long operational range, and reconfigurable mission modules, the Boxer will become a key platform within the British Army’s future Strike Brigades. Domestic production also strengthens the UK’s defense manufacturing base while supporting skilled employment and sovereign industrial capability.
