KNDS Deutschland has partnered with RITEK to establish a new manufacturing and testing center in Norway for the Leopard 2A8. Built within 18 months, the Levanger facility will support domestic assembly of most tanks ordered under Norway’s defense modernization effort. Capable of producing up to 36 tanks annually, the plant integrates advanced testing solutions such as steep gradient tracks and immersion pools to verify battlefield readiness. The initiative significantly boosts Norway’s local defense industrial capability while supporting NATO armored force modernization.
