Sweden has signed a framework agreement worth up to 4 billion kronor with Dynamit Nobel Defence to acquire the SKORPION2 remote mine-laying system for its armed forces. The contract includes an initial procurement of operational equipment, training resources, and ammunition to improve Sweden’s ability to rapidly establish anti-tank minefields during defensive operations. Compatible with multiple vehicle platforms, the SKORPION2 can deploy hundreds of programmable mines across extensive areas within minutes, enhancing battlefield denial capabilities while strengthening interoperability with NATO allies already operating the system.
