Greece has entered a long-term agreement with Shield AI to expand the Hellenic Army’s fleet of V-BAT unmanned aerial systems. The vertical takeoff and landing drones are currently employed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions and are expected to play a greater role in maritime monitoring operations. By increasing the number of V-BAT platforms, Greece aims to enhance persistent surveillance coverage across strategic naval areas where conventional assets may face operational challenges.
