France has completed the transfer of 39 VAB armored vehicles to the Lebanese Armed Forces, reinforcing Lebanon’s ground mobility and defense readiness. The delivery, conducted at Beirut’s port, reflects France’s ongoing commitment to regional stability. Originally developed in the 1980s, the VAB platforms remain versatile for troop transport and operational missions. The move comes amid heightened regional tensions, including escalating conflicts involving Hezbollah and Israel. By strengthening Lebanon’s military capabilities, France aims to support the country’s sovereignty and internal security during a period of geopolitical uncertainty.
