Elbit Systems has secured a contract worth approximately $277 million from an undisclosed international client to deliver UT30 MK2 remotely operated turrets along with related munitions. The agreement will be carried out over a three-year period.

This latest award comes after General Dynamics European Land Systems selected the UT30 MK2 in April to equip ASCOD armored vehicles for a NATO member state. Romania had previously ordered the system in March 2023 for installation on its Piranha V armored personnel carriers.

The UT30 MK2 turret is a modular system that can operate in either manned or unmanned configurations, enhancing armored vehicle firepower while maximizing crew protection. Armed with an Mk44 Bushmaster II 30mm cannon, a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, and anti-tank guided missiles, it also features independent sights for the gunner and commander and offers STANAG 4569 Level 4 ballistic protection.
