Ukrainian armored-vehicle producer Praktika has signed an MoU with Spain’s Tecnove and Escribano Mechanical & Engineering to jointly manufacture armored vehicles in Spain. The collaboration covers a broad portfolio, including multipurpose armored platforms, fire-support variants, ambulances, EW vehicles, command-and-staff configurations, and specialized non-military armored systems for demining and explosive transport. This initiative marks the first armored-vehicle co-production effort between Praktika, the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, and Spanish industry on EU territory. The agreement aims to merge Ukrainian and Spanish expertise in defense and specialty vehicle manufacturing to create new production lines for the EU, Ukraine, and international customers. Manufacturing will take place at Tecnove’s new 25,000 m² facility in Herencia, Madrid, where large-unit assembly will be conducted using components sourced from Praktika plants in Ukraine. Completed vehicles will support both Spain’s defense needs and Ukraine’s operational requirements. The venture embeds Ukrainian combat-tested solutions into European supply chains, expands serial production capacity, strengthens industrial resilience, and enhances the role of private Ukrainian companies within EU and NATO defense programs.
