A new industrial cooperation is set to reshape the defense sector in Europe as a local company partners with a South African manufacturer to produce armored platforms closer to home. The collaboration begins with vehicle assembly using imported parts, progressing toward full licensed production supported by European suppliers. Plans include introducing counter-drone systems and adapting drivetrains to meet emissions rules. The initiative is fully financed by the local partner and is expected to benefit from domestic demand and regional security agencies, with an option to extend the agreement after the initial operational phase.
