South Korea’s Hyundai Rotem has signed a major follow-up contract with Poland to deliver 180 K2 Black Panther tanks worth $6.5 billion. The deal cements Poland as the regional production and maintenance center for K2 tanks, with technology transfer ensuring most units are built domestically by PGZ’s Bumar-Łabędy plant. The first 64 tanks will feature the customized K2PL variant. This marks a strategic step in Poland’s defense industrial growth, while boosting NATO’s armored strength in Europe.
