KNDS and TYTAN Technologies have deepened their cooperation to advance mobile counter-unmanned aerial capabilities for armored land systems. Their newly signed memorandum expands previous integration efforts, including the incorporation of TYTAN’s Interceptor-S kinetic counter-drone system into the BOXER RCT30 platform, which was evaluated during German military trials. The system employs drone-on-drone interception to neutralize hostile UAVs, a method increasingly favored in modern combat environments dominated by inexpensive and agile aerial threats. The partners plan to refine deployable solutions capable of shielding armored vehicles and personnel from close-range drone attacks. In addition, the collaboration seeks to define a standardized European framework for mobile UAS launch systems, strengthening interoperability across allied forces. The agreement aligns with Germany’s ongoing counter-UAS expansion efforts involving major defense firms and sensor providers, underscoring Berlin’s intent to close capability gaps in short-range air defense and adapt to evolving battlefield realities.
