Ultra Maritime has successfully completed the first waterborne trials of its Multistatic Active Receive Sonobuoy System (MSARS), a new capability developed to support modern anti-submarine warfare operations. The system enables coordinated submarine detection across crewed and uncrewed platforms and is being integrated with aircraft such as the MQ-9B SeaGuardian. Developed under the UK’s Atlantic Bastion initiative, MSARS enhances underwater surveillance, expands operational coverage, and supports distributed maritime operations. The program reflects increasing investment in autonomous technologies for tracking increasingly sophisticated submarine threats.
