Patria and Latvia have signed a life cycle support agreement for the Common Armoured Vehicle System fleet used by the Latvian Armed Forces. The arrangement expands upon a broader life cycle management framework established in 2024 by Latvia, Finland, and Patria, which was later joined by Sweden and Denmark. The new agreement defines Latvia-specific support services, responsibilities, and maintenance processes to ensure the long-term readiness of the armored vehicle fleet while maintaining national supply security. The contract consolidates support from local companies and original equipment manufacturers under a unified framework aligned with the wider CAVS program. Finland originally launched the Common Armoured Vehicle System initiative in 2020 to provide a shared next-generation armored vehicle platform for allied countries. Patria is currently working on nearly 2,000 vehicle orders, and more than 250 units have already been delivered to participating nations. The vehicle is based on the Patria 6×6 platform and is designed to balance survivability, mobility, and operational flexibility.
