Greece has selected Thales to modernize the combat systems of its Hydra-class frigates as part of a major mid-life upgrade program for the Hellenic Navy. The modernization package includes the Tacticos combat management system, NS100 radar, and STIR fire-control sensors, significantly improving surveillance, tracking, and combat coordination capabilities. The upgrade is intended to extend the operational life of the MEKO 200-based warships while enhancing their effectiveness in increasingly complex maritime security environments.
