Arcfield has secured a $75-million follow-on contract from the US Navy Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport to continue supporting the Code 25 submarine combat control systems program. The five-year agreement covers engineering, cybersecurity, systems integration, and software development for the AN/BYG-1 combat control system used aboard US and Australian submarines. Designed with commercial off-the-shelf hardware and upgradeable software architecture, the AN/BYG-1 improves submarine situational awareness by integrating sensor data, weapon targeting, and vessel tracking functions. The system is also being considered for future SSN-AUKUS submarines under the trilateral AUKUS defense partnership.
