In a significant boost to its coastal defense and amphibious operations, Pakistan has inducted three 2400 TD hovercraft into its Marines. These advanced platforms expand operational reach across the shallow, complex waterways of southern Sindh, improving rapid deployment and response in critical littoral zones.
The induction ceremony took place during the Chief of the Naval Staff’s visit to forward positions in the Creeks Area, where he assessed the combat readiness of deployed forces. The Pakistan Navy described the hovercraft addition as a milestone in its modernization drive, providing superior performance in environments where conventional boats face navigation challenges.
