South Korea’s HD Hyundai has confirmed the near-term delivery of the BRP Diego Silang to Manila. Based on the HDF-3200 design, the vessel was upgraded to frigate status due to added weapons and systems. The two-ship deal supports the Philippines’ Horizon 2 modernization program.
