As part of the Future Mine Countermeasures System (SLAMF) program, the French Navy has received its first mine warfare surface drone. The drone has a towed sonar that is connected to a portable operations center in Brest, which is the second-largest military port in the country. The system is expected to reach its initial operational capability by the end of 2025.
