The Turkish Navy has started building three locally manufactured warships: the TF-2000 destroyer, the aircraft carrier MUGEM, and the submarine MILDEN. To mark the occasion, a ceremonial first weld of the submarine was carried out at the Gölcük Shipyard, while the initial sheet metal cutting of the naval forces’ aircraft carrier and destroyer took place at the Istanbul Shipyard.
