AM General and India’s Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited have entered a partnership to market advanced artillery solutions to global defense customers. The collaboration centers on the Mounted Artillery Gun (MArG), a 155mm artillery system integrated onto a 4×4 high-mobility vehicle. Designed for rapid deployment and mobility, the platform can fire three rounds in 30 seconds and sustain up to 42 rounds per hour while engaging targets beyond 40 kilometers. The partners also plan to compete for the US Army’s Mobile Tactical Cannon program, which seeks a replacement for the M777 howitzer. The initiative highlights growing defense cooperation between US and Indian industry.
