The US Army has chosen the Switchblade 400 developed by AeroVironment as part of its Low-Altitude Stalking and Strike Ordnance initiative. Designed as a lightweight, portable “tank destroyer,” the system provides precision engagement against armored threats while limiting unintended damage. Equipped with AI-enabled targeting and modular architecture, it can detect and strike targets in diverse operational conditions. Its integration into the Army’s evolving loitering munition ecosystem underscores a broader push toward flexible, scalable, and rapidly deployable strike systems for modern warfare.
