Greece has signed a $750-million contract with Elbit Systems to acquire the Precise & Universal Launching System (PULS), a versatile artillery rocket platform designed to enhance long-range strike capabilities. The deal includes launchers, multiple types of guided and unguided munitions, and a decade-long support package. PULS offers exceptional flexibility, capable of firing rockets and missiles with ranges extending up to 300 kilometers. Its ability to engage multiple targets simultaneously with high accuracy significantly strengthens Greece’s defense posture, particularly in sensitive regions like the Eastern Aegean. Integration with local industry through technology transfer further supports domestic capability development. The system is also part of Greece’s broader modernization strategy and its multi-layered air defense concept.
