The US government has approved a $930-million foreign military sale of M142 HIMARS launchers produced by Lockheed Martin to Sweden. The package includes 20 rocket launchers along with guided rocket pods, extended-range munitions, communication systems, and artillery command equipment. HIMARS is a highly mobile system capable of firing six rockets or a single missile from one launch pod. Its ability to quickly fire and relocate has made it a valuable weapon in modern conflicts.
