Berlin has expressed preliminary interest in acquiring Poland’s Piorun MANPADS, a portable air defense weapon designed to counter aircraft, helicopters, and drones. Produced by Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and its subsidiaries, the missile reaches speeds of Mach 2 and operates at altitudes up to 4,000 meters. Polish officials said some units are intended for Germany, while others may be transferred to Ukraine. The system has seen combat use and gained international export traction.
