Ankara and Cairo have finalized a comprehensive defense package worth $350 million, blending military exports with industrial collaboration. Central to the agreement is the sale of the Tolga short-range air defense system, while additional funds will support the establishment of artillery shell and small-caliber ammunition production infrastructure in Egypt. A jointly managed venture will oversee operations, reinforcing Egypt’s goal of expanding regional defense manufacturing capacity. The deal follows renewed military cooperation, joint exercises, and co-development initiatives, signaling a strategic deepening of defense relations between the two countries.
