Sweden has ordered 94 additional Patria 6×6 armored vehicles under the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) program, following a previous order of 321 units. Valued at roughly 1.5 billion SEK ($159.8 million), the order increases Sweden’s future fleet to 415 vehicles for delivery between 2025 and 2030. The vehicles—known locally as Pansarterrängbil 300—will include troop transport, command-and-control, and medical evacuation variants. CAVS, led by Finland and Patria, includes Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, and the UK. The program was created to standardize armored platforms, boost industrial cooperation, and improve interoperability among participating nations. The Patria 6×6 is a modular, mission-flexible vehicle that can be adapted across various operational roles.
