Albania will strengthen its artillery and drone forces through a new procurement and industrial cooperation agreement with Elbit Systems. The package includes truck-mounted ATMOS guns, SPEAR mortars, and two types of tactical drones, with Elbit also helping create domestic manufacturing lines. Magni-X supports reconnaissance in contested environments, while the heavier Thor drone can deploy small munitions. The program adds to ongoing NATO-aligned modernization backed by US, European, and Turkish contributions across vehicles, equipment, and training.
