Ukraine and KNDS have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together to manufacture medium-caliber ammunition for the military.
The agreement covers the production of shells frequently used in automatic weapons to target enemy infantry units, light armored vehicles, and low-flying aerial targets.
The program will be supported by KNDS’s Belgian branch and Ukroboronprom, a state-owned defense firm in Kyiv.
“We are steadily increasing the geography of our international partnerships, searching for and discovering new fields of interaction,” stated Ukroboronprom General Director Oleh Hulyak.
“This is advantageous to the Ukrainian Defense Forces and our defense-industrial complex, which wants to integrate into the global arms market of NATO nations.”
