In the next month, the Indian Army intends to purchase more than $1 billion worth of Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher (MBRL) ammunition.Before the current fiscal year ends on March 31, procurement orders will be made. There will be two categories of orders placed: area denial ammunition for 45 billion Indian rupees (about $520 million) and high-explosive pre-fragmented ammunition for 57 billion Indian rupees (about $660 million).
