French-Ukrainian defense technology company Alta Ares has secured €50 million in funding to accelerate production and development of its AI-enabled air defense systems. The company specializes in autonomous detection, identification, and interception technologies designed to counter drones, cruise missiles, and precision-guided threats. Its X-Lock interceptor addresses short-range aerial targets, while the Black Bird system engages longer-range threats. The investment will support manufacturing expansion in France and Ukraine, workforce growth, and international market development as demand rises for autonomous and scalable air defense solutions.
