German defense company HENSOLDT has installed the first TRL-4D LR long-range radar at the Brockzetel site in northern Germany under the HADR NF modernization program. The AESA-based radar is part of the German Air Force’s effort to replace its aging Hughes Air Defence Radar infrastructure, with four systems expected by 2030. The installation involved mounting a 13-ton antenna and enclosing the radar in a large radome while permanent radar towers are being prepared.
