AeroVironment will provide its next-generation PANTHER phased-array telemetry receivers for the Department of Defense’s SkyRange hypersonic testing initiative under a $43-million agreement. Installed aboard modified RQ-4 Global Hawk aircraft, the all-digital antenna systems will support autonomous signal acquisition, remote operation, and multichannel communications. The integration is expected to strengthen real-time telemetry tracking of advanced hypersonic weapons and reduce technical risks associated with future missile development and evaluation programs.
