Echodyne will provide EchoShield radar technology for Trust Automation’s Small Unmanned Air Defense System under a US Air Force contract worth up to $490 million. The system will support mobile, palletized, and fixed-site counter-drone operations. EchoShield is designed to detect, track, and classify aerial threats while sharing targeting data with other sensors or interceptors. Detection ranges extend from micro drones at 1.5 kilometers to small fixed-wing UAVs at nearly 8 kilometers.
