Babcock International has received a contract to maintain the British Army’s portable power generators used during military deployments. The agreement, valued at up to £36 million, could run for as long as eight years. Under the program, Babcock will perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities for the Field Electrical Power Supplies generator fleet. The company will also use asset management systems to monitor the equipment’s lifecycle and ensure operational readiness. Engineering teams working at three locations across the UK will carry out the work, supporting field operations that require reliable electricity for communications, lighting, and other essential systems.
