After a long period of delays brought on by repeated testing failures, the US Army intends to deploy its “Dark Eagle” long-range hypersonic weapon (LRHW) this year. The development was covered in a recent US congressional report, which a defense official confirmed to Defense News. The ground-based LRHW will be given to the first unit by the end of fiscal year 2025, according to the study.
