Leidos has been awarded a contract worth approximately 454.9 million dollars to support the modernization of the US Air Force’s Cloud One digital platform. The system is responsible for hosting and managing military software applications within secure cloud environments used by operational units. As part of the program, Leidos will collaborate with several major commercial cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The modernization effort aims to strengthen cybersecurity protections while improving automation in the management of cloud-based services. By enhancing operational processes and improving system security, the initiative will allow the United States Air Force to migrate critical applications and operational data more efficiently into cloud environments while maintaining protection for mission-critical systems. The improvements are also expected to accelerate the rollout of digital tools used by military personnel and simplify how cloud services are managed across the force. According to Leidos, the program aligns with its long-term NorthStar 2030 strategy, which focuses on expanding the company’s role in technology modernization and cybersecurity programs across US federal agencies. The award adds to several technology initiatives recently carried out by the company. In a recent collaboration with RegScale, the firm integrated platforms designed to automate compliance monitoring and strengthen cybersecurity defenses across the US Department of Defense and other federal institutions. In 2025, Leidos also partnered with VML to develop an artificial intelligence platform known as Imperium. The system is designed to support information operations by providing tools to plan, execute, and analyze strategic communication campaigns while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. Earlier in the same year, Leidos secured an 87-million-dollar contract with the NATO Communications and Information Agency to develop a centralized private cloud IT system. That project involves a multinational team including Thales, CGI, Leonardo, and UK firms LA International and NEXO to improve NATO’s digital resilience.
