The US Air Force has contracted Boeing to replenish its inventory of GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators in a deal valued at over $100 million. The procurement comes after the bomb’s first combat use in 2025 strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Officials stated Boeing remains the only qualified producer, preventing delays. The 30,000-pound bunker-busting weapon will continue production until completion of the latest order, after which focus will shift to the upcoming Next-Generation Penetrator program.
