Estonian unmanned systems specialist Milrem Robotics and Australia’s EOS Defence Systems have formalized a strategic teaming agreement aimed at advancing next-generation unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) capabilities, with a particular emphasis on combat autonomy and network-centric warfare integration. The partnership will focus on developing interoperable solutions that tightly integrate sensors, weapon systems, and command networks across Milrem’s UGV platforms. Planned capability enhancements include the integration of counter-drone systems, missile launchers, grenade launchers, large-caliber remote weapon stations, and directed-energy technologies such as laser systems. Both firms intend to combine technical expertise to accelerate product development, commercialization, and deployment timelines. Initial market focus will center on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Asia-Pacific, and Europe, with potential expansion into the United States subject to evolving requirements. Priority markets identified include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, and selected European programs. The collaboration will also pursue joint marketing initiatives and explore additional customer segments where autonomous combat platforms and modular weapon integration offer strategic advantages.
