Sweden has received its first batch of GAVIA autonomous underwater vehicles from Teledyne Marine, marking a key milestone in expanding national undersea autonomy. The field-reconfigurable AUVs offer flexible deployment from shore or vessels of opportunity and support a wide range of naval missions. Already operated by 18 navies worldwide, the GAVIA’s delivery reinforces Sweden’s focus on scalable, low-logistics autonomous systems for operations in contested and littoral waters.
