
Skyways has been granted $37 million by the US Air Force to shift its V3 autonomous cargo drone into full production mode.
The scope of the contract includes final production planning, ramping up the manufacturing line, and improving the drone’s automated flight software.
The broader ambition is to use the V3 drone at scale for transporting cargo in military and commercial sectors.
The program may ultimately become a formal part of the Air Force’s long-term logistics planning, unlocking recurring investments for enhancements.
