The Royal Danish Air Force has reactivated 729 Squadron to operate four MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones for Arctic surveillance. Procured through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, deliveries are expected in 2028. Based at Aalborg Air Base, the unit will support intelligence gathering, environmental monitoring, and search-and-rescue missions across Greenland and the Arctic region.
