L3Harris Technologies has received additional orders valued at $84 million to supply Falcon AN/PRC-158C software-defined gateway manpack radios supporting the US Army’s Next Generation Command and Control modernization program. The advanced communication systems provide secure voice and data connectivity across multiple waveforms, enabling seamless interoperability between commanders, sensors, shooters, and battle management platforms operating in complex combat environments. Featuring dual-channel receivers and wide frequency coverage from 30 MHz to 2.5 GHz, the lightweight radios support beyond-line-of-sight communications while improving operational flexibility across diverse mission profiles. The acquisition builds upon previous procurement efforts that established the AN/PRC-158C as a core element of the Army’s evolving digital battlefield architecture. As modern military operations increasingly depend on rapid information exchange and network-centric warfare, these radios will enhance command responsiveness, improve situational awareness, and strengthen communication resilience across distributed combat formations.
