German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems and Ukraine’s Frontline Robotics have formed a €100-million joint venture to mass-produce unmanned aerial vehicles for the Ukrainian military. Operating from a new factory in southern Germany, the venture aims to produce up to 10,000 drones annually, establishing Europe’s first automated, industrial-scale foreign drone production line dedicated to Ukraine. The initiative aligns with broader German-Ukrainian defense cooperation efforts to strengthen Kyiv’s domestic and European-integrated defense industry.
