The prototype of the HUGIN Superior autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) was delivered by Kongsberg Discovery for a large undersea drone project of the US Navy. The prototype’s acceptance trials in Norway, which were finished earlier this year, are followed by this. Prior to this, a Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) team conducted a thorough technology assessment on the platform last year.
