French defense technology firm Harmattan AI is supplying Ukraine with a lightweight synthetic-aperture radar system designed to enhance drone operations in poor visibility. The “Sahara” radar weighs less than 3.5 kilograms and consumes 65 watts of power, enabling high-resolution imaging in fog, darkness, and contested environments. The system processes imagery onboard in near real time, allowing operators to detect camouflaged targets and hidden equipment despite weather or jamming challenges.
