Firestorm Labs has been granted a $100 million contract by the US Air Force for its little unmanned aerial systems. According to the project, the California-based startup will provide its flagship drones, accompanying support services, and research and development for a variety of uses. Firestorm now produces the Tempest 50, a platform made using its own 3D printers dubbed xCell, which could enable the quick creation of drone components at a temporary location close to a war zone.
