ARX Robotics has signed a contract to deliver additional Gereon unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine, advancing plans to establish the world’s largest network of coordinated ground robots. The Gereon fleet is already operating on the front lines, and the new order will increase its size to several hundred platforms.
These vehicles will be unified through ARX’s Mithra operating system, allowing UGVs to operate collaboratively during large-scale missions. To accelerate deployment, production is shared between European facilities and Ukrainian manufacturing partners, strengthening regional industrial capacity.
The Gereon program was developed in collaboration with Ukraine’s Frontline under a European-Ukrainian initiative shaped by continuous operator feedback. ARX has upgraded its existing Gereon RCS platform into a battlefield-ready design featuring integrated AI for autonomous functions.
Designed for both military and commercial roles, the Gereon UGV can handle obstacle clearance and heavy-load transport. It is capable of carrying 500 kilograms over distances up to 40 kilometers. Its modular design allows the platform to perform medical evacuation, logistics support, or surveillance tasks, easing manpower burdens during critical operations.
